To be fair, they weren't the first Scottish club to be screwed out of a European Cup final appearance by a corrupt bunch of bribing kants.

I take it you lot were also screwed out of an appearance Ivan. When was that and what's the story?

After we won the league in 83 we went into the European Cup and eventually reached the semi final where we were drawn against Roma. Not only were they Italian Champions but the final was to be played intheir Stadio Olymico.

The first leg we pumped them, playing them off the park and winning 2-0. They accused us of all sorts, mainly drug use as they didn't believe we could play with the energy we did.

Tensions were high for the return. We were confident though. And then we lost 3-0 with what was very much a questionable referee performance. The end of the game saw horrible scenes with players and fans attacking McLean and our players.

Not long after amid accusations of bribery the ref admitted he was approached.

A decade later a senior Roma director admitted the bribery.

Thankfully Liverpool beat the cheats in the final.

Never heard of that Ivan, but then I was a kid at the time down South. Shocking tbh! All these kind of clubs seem to get away with that p@sh.
