He started the season playing a load of kids but not many remain in the team since he signed Golbourne, McDonald and Henry. So it has gradually become a more and more experienced team he is relying on. But its good to hear he is planning to go back to youth in the new year and bring in a Wolves nemesis - 40 year old Kevin Phillips

No apology required /b/ro I’m well aware that it is my reaction that is the illogical one

My apologies Bute, your suggestion that if we don't pick up Phillips we may end up embarrassed makes perfect sense
As for the second part, i am not going to ruin an interesting thread by rising to your attempts to derail this into a Mick McCarthy argument.
Two bizarre comments for my money, totally going against your constant accusations about other posters looking for arguments. Firstly, Bute's comment totally makes sense - he never said, as you've claimed, that not getting Phillips would make us embarrassed...he rightly said if we don't make bl00dy damn sure we get promoted by hook or by crook then the club will be extremely embarrassed, I would have thought that was obvious.
And secondly, YOU made it about Mick with that comment, Bute never mentioned him...he was actually talking about this thread!?
Sorry to butt in boys but it does wind me up Cinci when you give it your "I'm the only good poster on here, waah waah waah" and then you derail this thread with insults and bizarre paranoia!

And now I'm annoyed with myself for becoming involved in it!
BUT, please note - I've logged in to comment on maybe ten different things over the last week or so and refrained from getting stuck into it to avoid an argument....apologies for my slip

I'm feeling quite nauseous even thinkung about the Poison Pixie in a Wolves kit. How any Wolves fan could want a man who has heaped so much pain on us is unreal.
Still getting back on topic, I think the only thing KJ did wrong was maybe to many youngsters all together. It'll be interesting to see if form picks up after our recent mini slump with the young cubs back.
Get that Eusabio kid in the squad KJ, you know it makes sense.

Its OK, Ulf, you just fell into the trap Bute lays on every thread, just look at yesterdays threads to see where he tries to take them. If you think Butes ''careful what you wish for'' comment was anything other than a dig, then you are sadly mistaken, and then his follow up comments tell you the rest.
Agree with all the comments regarding Kenny as well, his initial handling of squad issues was excellent, but he has not really carried that good work onto the pitch thus far. Maybe DJ has a point that he is effectively working in fear, and now we are where we need to be he is just becoing more cautious.

Not really interested in seeing Ebanks Landell get games this season, our defence is solid and i see no reason why we would change that.
Would be happy to see Eusebio get some minutes though, or even Keita who is actually closer to the side isn't he?

I think Phillips may be the answer in the short term and if he does come to us, I'm sure it'll be until the end of the season only.
KJ has always stated that he wants to build his own squad and that means players coming in and using our talented youngsters. He's doing what everyone expected and blending youth with experience. He has tried a few youngsters and bar 2 or 3 they haven't really done enough yet.
For some on here to still be doubting KJ surprises me, especially when some give an opinion after 3 months and then state that their jury is still out.
Whether KJ is the long term solution remains to be seen. If he gets us up, he'll be given a chance in the Championship. If he fails he may well be looking for a new job.
For now we have to stay on the roller coaster ride that's always going to be here, being a Wolves supporter.

I'm often struck by how many of your comments are just words but have literally no substance whatsoever. What was the purpose of the paragraph above, what does it add to any debate about Jackett or indeed anything at all?
For what it's worth, I think that if it doesn't rain until Saturday then the ground will be relatively dry and if Jackett sleeps soundly on Friday night then he won't be tired on the Saturday. Additionally, it is my opinion that the sun will rise on the Saturday morning, and I wouldn't be surprised if it set again in the evening either.
Feel a bit mean now but it has been on my mind for some time, no hard feelings and merry Christmas WITSS and all
