Last week, in one of his usual, 'Suck up to Liverpool fans' moments, Brendan the Clown (AKA David Brent, AKA King Brenny) claimed he rejected the Spurs job.
I am quite confident this did not happen. You often get this with arrogant managers revising history to make them seem more of a big deal than they actually might be.
If you remember at the time, Spurs held an interview process for potential managers. It was at one of these interviews that AVB impressed and quickly rose to the top of the list.
Now - King Brenny *might* have declined an offer to attend one of these interviews (maybe), but that does not mean he was 'offered the Spurs job'.
As with his 'top 2 finish' comments, the man is prone to deluded comments.
All I will say on this is I am skeptical and it worth bearing in mind that Suarez publicly said (or strongly implied) that Roger's is a liar.

The Mousers will come crashing down sooner or later, they will not go a full season without having a bad spell.
When this time comes their paper thin squad and manager will be found out.
Spurs are in the middle of a bad spell and are still in touch with where they want to be, they can only improve.
