Bentaleb!!

How good does this kid look!? What is he, 19/20? Making is debut in difficult circumstances in a ridiculously attacking midfield and he was excellent. So composed. Away to southampton with the attacking Eriksen as his partner and he was just amazing. Thoughts?

Oh and 3 goals

Thudd, let's wait for bentaleb to have a prem loan before you say that

I wasn't even bigging him up FFS. I don't even rate Livermore

Just odd that you think he's better after 1 sub performance

He looked confident, assured, strong in possession and a tidy passer of the ball when he came on.

Hope to see more of him, could be a player for the not too distant future.

I was a little concerned when I saw number 42 standing on the touchline waiting to come on, especially in light of how offensively minded our midfield was, but I need not have worried because Bentaleb was very impressive. He made some good tackles and was very calm and composed in possession.

If all our other midfielders were fit he would be some way down the pecking order, but he showed enough to suggest that we should be looking to get him out on loan for Championship/Premier League experience sooner rather than later. He certainly didn't look out of place.

pretty impressive debut. I've heard of him but until today had never seen him kick a ball

definitely deserves to keep his place on the bench against WBA

"He made some good tackles and was very calm and composed in possession."

He has often been a headless version of Sandro in the U21s.
I was expecting at least a today (possibly worse) , but he showed he deserved his run-out today.

I thought he was a left winger, his position must of been changed during the u21's recently

Played a semi Sandro/CM role at the tail of last season for the U21s.
This season : anywhere as required I guess (with most of the decent Academy CMs sold/loaned out now) .
