I don’t think any reasonable poster would deny the current LFC side can be brilliant. Dynamic, energetic, attacking football with scintillating goals galore virtually every week. Times are good, very good. Top four is very much on and I feel we remain realistic outsiders for a title push.
Yet this season is more exciting for me personally because Everton, so far, have been breathing down our necks throughout. I honestly thought they would fall away this season. I thought the comparative lack of funds to the other expected top four contenders; allied with the transition from a conservative, physical, safety first style of Moyes’s Everton to Martinez more fluid attacking style would take a while to bear fruit.
Every week I hope they lose. It’s just not happening at the moment. Barkley looks a class act, almost as good as Henderson at that age
If this continues until the end of the season at both ends of Stanley Park then both Liverpool and Everton could well finish in the top four. A thought virtually inconceivable for decades!

I hope we return to the days of Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton challenging for the title. The simple fact is that if United were not the random team that Ferguson selected, no-one will have heard of them today outside of England.
