Last Chance Saloon......For Levy

The appointment of Tim Sherwood is, no matter what anyone says, a massive gamble.

I hope it pays off.

If it doesn't, then Levy must go. No ifs and buts.

Levy has just sacked our highest ever win percentage PL manager and replaced him with a novice.

AVB had go though, the problem is that Levy should not have hired AVB in the first place.

Galv. Levy is becoming hard to defend.

Appointing Sherwood was making the best of a bad situation. There wasn't much else Levy could of done what with most of the good managers unavailable. At least Sherwood has been with us for years and knows the club/players/setup. In a way I would love to see him succeed as you don't see many young English managers given a chance these days as the draw to appoint a foreign coach always seems to be the preferred approach.

Were Rodgers and Martinez considered options along with AVB after we sacked Arry? Cause if they were then it's making Levy look even more foolish at the moment given how they're doing, and the style of football they play which sadly we could only dream of under AVB.

Atleast Levy didn't rush in any old manager with a high wage only for them to fail.

In the interim its an ok decision, granted he hasn't earnt his stripes but people have to start somewhere.

Nobody had heard much of Keith Burkinshaw when he took over, and look what happened there.

Give Sherwood a chance, he has a great opportunity to succeed with this squad of players, unlike many of his predecessors who had vastly inferior squads to work with

We've got nowhere to go if Sherwood fails. Bringing in Hoddle would at least have given Levy a fall guy.

I'll support Tim like I would any new manager but I'm becoming concerned that the decision makers at the club haven't a clue about football.
