Morning all!
Excellent result today against a good Barnsley side! I don't think we will be top come may but I would be very happy with mid table this season then really push for the title next year. I still expect two signings before 1st September and I believe they will be Rodriguez or Maynard (possibly both) and a defender, maybe make an ambitious move for Lucas Neill as he is on a free (but wages may be a problem) and nathaniel clyne. A very good young defender but would cost a bit from palace. I don't think we necessarily need a winger but I half expect one, but I really don't have a clue who.
Who would you like to see and what are you're season predictions and targets?
Mine is 8th... But let's hope for more!

Well I can't agree with your comment "a good Barnsley side"- we didn't turn up. Having said that - you are a good side - I saw that from watching the TV against Leeds and knew we would be in trouble if we didn't improve. The Barnsley manager told it as it was - you should have won by a much bigger margin. The challenge by Chaplow was stupid and dangerous - he deserved the red card.

Ok, we are top but we might no longer stay at the top cos there are many tough matches to come and Atkins said the next two, Ipswich away on Tuesday and Millwall on Saturday will be the toughest at this moment.
Millwall could have killed us off on Saturday as they were an excellent side so far after beating Nottingham Forest 2-0 but I wonder if Saints can manage it very well.
I am seeing the match on Saturday along with my old schoolmate of mine and I shall enjoy that match.
Too true, Chaplow deserved a red card and rightly so. I suspect he will miss Ipswich, Millwall and pre-season favourites, Leicester City cos as a violent conduct offence and a straight red card - it is automatic three match ban!
I hope Saints will do very well during the rest of this new season. COYR!
