Different side to last year

I am both excited and nervous about today's game. The thing I'm nervous about came to light based around rogers comments about man city where he said "In the two games against City last season, we were the better side" which I have to say I felt the same as rogers after that game and for a moment I thought 'relax muz we can do this' but then I thought about the differences in that's man city compared to when we played them last and it really is a different side. With my biggest concern coming in the form of fernandiniho. Everyone talk about how good yaya is but as I side we know how to contain him. He's a player is powerful when he gets into his stride but he isn't as mobile as our midfield and that's why in our last game we beat them. Fernandiniho is different he is extremely mobile and technically gifted for me he is their danger man today he's the one who will be supplying silva and navas (who is another threat because of the pace he brings, which is another thing city didnt have last year). Then we have there striker negrado who's powerful, quick and technically gifted. All of these are reasons why I'm nervous today.

Now lets look at the positives. We have the best striker in Europe who can dictated the attacking play. Our midfield is the most mobile it has been in along time (even though we lack a little bit of power), we have got are our own in form midfielder who gets everywhere and we have a player maker who is up there with the best in terms with chances created.

So I finally though to myself we CAN win this but if we don't I hope we don't embarrass ourselves, we need to take confidence from this game no matter what today, our young squad might not handle a trouncing.

Playing a right footer at LB wouldn't be a bad idea, Navas cutting inside is less effective than being played down the wing.

Only prob would be if Silva plays on the left as he would want to cut inside

I'm worried about Kelly, this really is throwing him in deep end, he's been injured/lacking form for a very long time now. Would much rather Cissokho/Agger came in at LB and Johnno stayed at RB.

Had a dream last night that Johnson was playing left with Kelly right.

Yes, I'm insane.

Everyone was worried about Flanagan.

Now it's Kelly's turn.

Also Stevie should be back in 10 days.

We are so light it's unbelievable. If Suarez was to get injured then we'd be in deep trouble.

Gerrard will be back in two weeks.

Sturridge in 3-4.

Window opens in a week, it's fine.

I wish our fullbacks would stop getting injured, it's getting a bit ridiculous now. Poor flanno

JED you're right, I can't believe that we can't rely on cissokho he was apparently very good early on in his career. Is McLaughlin ready?

It's time for Kelly to step up to the plate. How's his chance, down to him to take it. He can do it, Im sure. Of all the games watched, we've done best by either soaking up initial attack then hitting them, or just going all out and attack them from the word go. My option? The latter; there's nothing to lose. I still predict a wiNf for the Reds.
