Injuries

He seems to pick up an awful lot of injuries. He's a player we need to stay fit now really, he is gaining in importance to the side.

He's always going to pick up knocks and strains due to his style of play. He goes 100% for the full 90 minutes and never pulls out of a challenge.

Thanks for that. The options for the starting 11 for Norwich match are now limited. Valencia's suspension doesn't help either as I am feel he would have started at right-back. Ideally Fabio should start there but I have suspicion it will be Smalling.

I hope Valencia got a rollicking for that.... Ridiculous thing to do.

I remember the bile Fellaini got for his red card in Spain... Yesterday's was 10x stupider considering Rafael's injury, the timing and the way he got his 2nd yellow (kicking the ball).

If Fabio doesn't get a chance now I will be pulling my hair out. I really don't get why Moyes hasn't given the lad any game time.

I'm sure he did considering his stupidity very nearly cost us near the end.

It would be great to see Fabio play tomorrow but I'm not sure what kind of condition he'll be in. Smalling tbf to him, hasn't done too badly at right back defensively this season, it's going forward where he struggles. Rafael's threat from right back is such an important part of the way we play and he's even more important when we're struggling to create in other areas. Hopefully we won't miss him too much tomorrow.

Hopefully Moyes has come to his senses re. Buttner because he shouldn't be anywhere near the 18 let alone the starting XI. Fingers crossed Fabio will come into his plans more.

It could be that he doesn't train hard or has a bad attitude, but there hasn't ever been anything to suggest that he is anything but a good pro.

From what we have seen of him in his time at United he seems like he is very similar to his brother in terms of attitude, although perhaps not quite as determined. That said, Fabio has never let the team down when he has been called upon and in my opinion has more natural ability on the ball than Rafael. Personally I wouldn't be against him getting some playing time on the wing. I certainly wouldn't be letting him leave the club on a free.
