Why do manager's get rated out of sympothy?

Or atleast that's what it seems.

Malky Mackay is the latest in the line, yes he should have been treated better, but because of that, he is getting way, way over-rated as a manager, Cardiff have spent over £30m and for the most part of the season they have been absolute crap and are outside the relegation zone thank's to a couple of smash and grab's.

There is nothing about Mackay that makes me think he is a great or even that good a manager, and because of this hard done by perception he has picked up for himself will probably land himself another PL job (im guessing West Brom) flop and the penny will finally drop.

Malky wasn't on people's radar a few weeks back, now this episode has come about and he's instantly this great, young manager. He's not that good and that will show in his next job when he can't hide behind the "owner doesn't know what he is doing" line.

People may think that the Cardiff job is one to avoid but infact whoever takes it cannot lose, do good and there a great manager, do bad and they can hide behind the same line people gave for Malky and probably get another PL job on the back of it.

By your weird logic, basically the whole of the bottom half should sack their managers, and half the top half too.

Weird logic? Kinda say's more about you than me bud.
As for a Cup Final getting in the way of promotion to the promised land...............???????? Hmmmmm

I completely agree 'bud'
I've had many fantastic days at Wembley (more than most in the past 20yrs I guess?) but tell that to the owner.

The owner was going to get rid of Malky by any means possible. Quoting the so-called overspend and saying he would have no money in Jan was ridiculous. How can he blame the Manager, he does not control the funds but was still sacked. Making the owners statements even more stupid, he now comes out and says substantial funds are available for the new manager in Jan. Laughable.
