Delighted with our new ugly side. Before it would be a case of if we didn't get our fluent game going we'd be lucky to get a point but now we can afford to do that. I thought Vermaelen came in and did well recently but Wenger made a right decision on restoring Kos straight back in, Remy is another striker on the list that doesn't get a look in! I'm a lot more relaxed watching us attack high 1st and second balls now, even in the box which is unfamiliar.
The 'handsome' big man got the goal he desperately needed and thankfully it came in todays game. Well done to him . Wilshere was missing that burst today but spending a night in up in Tyneside might influence that . Our bench was very desperate though especially defensively a versatile defensive option is very key, how lucky are we that TV turned out ill just as Kos has come back, I hope Wenger doesn't choose to ride his luck this year because it's rarely ended in our favour.
Shezza has come a long way and I love the lad but he really needs to stop being so laid back that's a few of times he's been lucky from that situation lately, I feel he has become one of our leaders at the back and a more ruthless mentality should be developed. Theo was sipping Huddlestone's juice today with that free-kick found Oli in heaps of space. Liverpool have been blown back now and as the new year begins I think it will now be between the big boys as crunch time begins, Chelsea looked alive today and a little revitalised and with City getting their squad back (despite their Aguero blow). I think it will soon shape into a 3 horse race despite how tight it between 5/6 teams.
Wenger will need to find a couple of top players in this window if we're to have the legs. That is another CB (hopefully one that can play DM or vice versa) and a top striker. Bedntner not being able to still get a start lately might signal that he's off, I fully expected Giroud to be rested in 1 of these festive games. In this case I think we'll need a very good goal scorer and maybe pay quite big if we plan to go small we might as well try Pod or Theo up top. If Dortmund are clever having gone 15 pts behind Bayern in the league they'd do everything to avoid handing them their top striker it would end their relevance to Bayern in that league and therefore we need to assess the situation a raid could be on.
Big away win. Title race starting to shape up. We're a couple additions from lasting #Arsenal

I swear you were slating the feck out of him earlier? Goodness you're not half fickle, no wonder the Arsenal board laugh at how thick you are

That was the jibe does this change my opinion on what I think of Giroud's level??.... No! But I have to give credit despite foolish suggestions I would rather he scores to earn our team a win than him playing cack and driving me to weekly rants
Amazing 5 days ago grinding out results was a sackable offense

Different, we don't set out for this.... every game Especially if we had billion pounds worth of attacking talent!

Why do United comment on EPL title concerning posts? Yeah they are champions but they're not defending it. Get amongst the L'pool Spurs banter for top 4. There board is that way>>>>>>

Most gooners know Giroud is not the answer but fair play to him for scoring.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont know how you can say Giroud is not the answer, we are top of the league going into january playing with the same striker all season, unlike chelsea who have 3 expensive flops, arsenal dont rely on just goals from their striker hence why it works, if arsenal sign someone like benzema or costa in january, with podolski and walcott now back and scoring, it'll be tough seeing past them

Costa would be freaking amazing. Maybe in the summer though.

Other teams got a slow start while we bounced back brilliantly since the opening day. When it comes down to it Giroud won't get us there, the top 4 games are when he gets found out and we'll need to win our home ones this year to take the league.
Like I've always said as a bench option he'll be useful but if he is our main striker throughout the whole campaign which now includes the mammoth CL game and cup runs he will disappoint. That's the type of striker he is unfortunately the puzzle is nearly complete but we're a couple signings short
