My 2 observations from yesterday

Morning,

Hope all are in a good mood after yesterday's victory, however I have two observations. Arteta is absolutely vital to what he brings to us... watch the game again if you like, there is no one to knit the play maintain the tempo of the game for us and he was sorely missed. Yes Flamini provides more protection but he does not offer what Arteta does...

My second observation is that Wilshere needs to stop thinking he is Messi and trying to dribble past 3 players. He should be playing back to form so that means keeping things, maintaining possession, its annoying how many times he gives the ball away, I know he is out of form but playing like that doesn't help...

Over and out...

We will lose the league on goal difference by one goal and we can blame Carl Jenkinson for not taking a quick throw in to put in Bendtner.

That was my observation

I'm a big Arteta fan. I certainly think he's VERY useful to have.

However, (imo) what Flamini offers the team is unique. He's the one player who has the natural instincts to protect the back 4.

I think Arsenal are a better side in general when Flamini anchors the midfield.

Moist - The point you make are very valid and I agree Flamini offers that additional layer of protection, so I might advocate starting Flamini on away games and Arteta on the home games and more technical European games...

Wenger pretty much does this already

Wilshere has been very poor all season with the exception of a couple of games, whether it be down to injury or lack of form.
Keeps running, as you say into blind alleys which eventually leads to us losing the ball in vital areas, and putting us under pressure.
My advice to him is to keep things simple for the next 5 matches, and regain confidence. If he maintains his current form I would not even take him to Brazil.
