Burnley 3 Huddersfield Town 2

A mere 4 weeks since our last meeting, here we go again..1st January 2014 at Turf Moor

No doubt many aggrieved Burnley fans will be wanting a ref and maybe a lino like we had back at the JSS in November, dodgy penalty..offside or not offside ?

To be honest, I'd rather the players decided the outcome and not the officials.

Anyway, the 60th meeting between the clubs having met in all four divisions over the years, but mainly in the old League One (38 times).

The previous 29 visits to Turf Moor have seen Burnley win 14, Town 9 with 6 draws. Burnleys record attendance is 54,755 against Town in a cup tie back in 1924 (when crowds were crowds...) Alas I don't expect more than maybe 14,000 will turn up for this one. Town had only sold 874 by Saturday and Burnleys home gates average about 12,000...despite bringing a creditable 3,639 to our place last month.

Sean Dyche wasn't a happy man anyway, and will be looking for some justice this time, but.......

recent form has dipped for Burnley...in the last 10 games - - -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burnley Won 2 Drawn 6 Lost 2 Scored 9 Against 9 Points 12

Town Won 4 Drawn 2 Lost 4 Scored 14 Against 12 Points 14

and Burnley have slipped to 3rd, while Town have moved up from 14th to 11th.

Pretty impressive at home though with 7 wins and 4 draws so far, and only 5 goals conceded ..so this could be tough for us.

£28 to get in, pay at the turnstiles, and £17 concessions but pay at the ticket office in Burnley. I won't be going because having only charged Burnley fans £23 at our place I think it's a bit rich charging us £28..so they can stick it ...where the sun don't shine...Also we give concessions at age 60 and Burnley not until 65...so ladies underwear to it.

I think we might scrape a draw in this, so I'm going for 2-2.

Too right hydy, Ings will be off.

Obviously we wont be in the play offs, but happy to bet you a tenner you are not ?

?

We won't be int play offs, that's nailed on.

I think you'll fade away. Qpr, Leicester top two, forest, Derby, Wigan and Brighton play offs.

That's my opinion, I'll happily bet you that tenner?

So neither of us int play offs then !

We will be champions and you will be 14th.

Only joking.

I think we will be in play offs, with Blackburn, Wigan and QPR. Leicester and Derby for automatic. Dont see Brighton up there but Forest and Leeds will be close.

Can't see Leeds tbh, and that's not me being childish. They are average @ best.

There's always a dark horse that goes on a decent run. I think it'll be Brighton

If we buy a couple and dont sell Ings or Trippier we will be ok. We had a bad run and are still second averaging almost 2 points per game.

You sound like Lee Clark ( private joke, not @ your expense btw)

We're rumoured to be in for Chris wood from Leicester, with Norwood going to them and 200k to us.

Very true though, you've got the points in the bag, owt can happen.
