Give Ramsey a break people

No pun intended in the title btw.

Anyway why are there so many fans on here slating Ramesy's performance? firstly this was the first game of the season and also he was being played out of position. Ramsey's best position is a more advanced, deeper position one that he excelled at against Man U a few seasons ago. So please people dont judge him on this games performance.

I wasn't slating him at all! Just watching him closely.

also. "more advanced, deeper position"??

I don't get it why, Ramsey is being used as Fabregas type, because he certainly isn't!! He, as you say, needs to play more advanced, link up with RvP to play good. Wilshere also needs to play so he gets the freedom to go foward.

'No pun intended'

You're mean!

I think Ramsey has a great shot on him, but if we're to get the best out of our midfield, especially with Song suspended, it may be better to play him further back.

it wasn't a go at you just fans need to realise that this isn't his best position, so lets get behind the lad.

I think what I mean to say was behind VP.

Yes Ramsey is definitely more effective in an advanced position. Wilshere is better at receiving the ball from the defence and linking play up, he is better at hassling other players and winning the ball back as well. Ramsey has that ability to make killer through balls and not afraid to have a shot on goal.

I agree that Aaron is more effective in an advanced position (even Cesc said this in an interview). However, before his injury he played in the Wilshere position quite often and he played this very well. By no means he was played out of position yesterday.

I think Rosicky was playing the Fabregas role yesterday and not Ramsey.
