LUTV app on the way

Good news for iPhone iPad owners! Thom Kirwin has confirmed in a tweet to me that technical bods are working on updating the Leeds United APP to include LUTV video clips and live streaming match commentary. This is much needed as I am fed up of using unreliable other ways, like ustream, of listening to the commentary over the internet.

The same problem exists for Radio Leeds. The iPlayer Radio app does not have the match commentary but just plays an announcement that broadcast rights are not available. I am confused by this rights issue, as when one of the midweek matches was featured by Radio 5 Live, I was able to hear the Radio Leeds commentary of Adam Pope via the iPlayer radio app.

I am a subscriber to LUTV but it does not cater well for Apple iPhone and iPad users. This will be fixed in 2014 apparently.

good iphone app sorely missing, hopefully not an extra charge for it on top of membership charge.

Cal, Apple control access to their systems very tightly, all apps developed have to be approved by Apple. Its makes for greater security (control), but also means lack of compatibility in places as it's not as open access as Android and sometimes Apple just simply not allowing people to take advantage of good features.

Good example of how this isn't good is how Apple didn't open up the API that would allow developers to create an app that automatically switched off wi-fi and bluetooth when you leave your house which would really save battery.

Just jailbreak it. Easy to do and it opens up lots more apps.

I had mine done a few years back but found I wasn't really using it that much so reverted flack to iOS.

I just wish Sky would allow streaming to my Apple TV but the boogers have blocked it
