Being the reigning champions would indicate we are fairly good at football which was the accusation (that we werent good at football) it wasn't a WUM or a boast but simply a counter point to his theory...

SAF being far better than even his biggest fans have him credit for (a god practically)?

Given that its a bit of a push to win a 38 game season by so many points (even relaxing and dropping easy points at the end!) with just luck we will have to write this one off.

Not a conspiracy theorist, so that ones out.

Lastly I'm an Atheist so the SAF as a god one doesn't really work either...

The only logical conclusion is that United are quite good at football and aren't playing as well as they can right now, admittedly there's some logical thinking required here so I'm not expecting agreement...
