Rooney to do a Van Persie?

Who else can see Rooney doing a Van Persie and leaving this summer so that United don't have to see him leave on a free in 2015?

Today reports appear to say that Rooney "wants to wait until after the world cup before negotiating". Sound familiar? Van Persie euro 2012 anyone?

He'll be pretty much the same age as Van Persie... Similar situation, too. And he's tried to leave many times.

I'm not saying for a second he'll go to Arsenal but it seems like he has no shortage of options and it might be attractive to him. Thoughts? gs

SAF the Glazers take money out of United to pay off the money they borrowed to buy United in the first place. so fcked up when you think about it

Given all the big sponsorship deals the Glaziers have been bringing in and keep trying to bring in it makes sense that they would want their cash cow to be profitable...

No CL would put a far bigger dent in those deals than the price of buying some quality players would be.

As businessmen I really can't see them not spending some money as it doesn't actually make business sense!

having money doesn't mean everything will be ok, this summer proved that you can't pick and choose who you sign. vidic, rio, evra, carrick, rvp are past it or on the decline and the rest of your midfield and wingers are all pants, can all that be sorted in one summer transfer window.

I replied to this one previously..

Moyes, Woodward, first window for both.

Moyes came in late.

Wanted to give squad a chance.

Can't see the same mistakes being repeated.

Not sure if that's what your getting at but I thought I covered that when I said the debt of buying ourselves...

How do you finance the marquee signings you are hoping for?

right so you ignore my other response and answer this question with a totally irrelevant question. I won't bother responding to your comments from now on

Also, I don't know why any united fan would respond to an Arsenal fan like 8bit, he'll only speak about United to provoke bites off united fans, what's the point? I can see he's been on this Article by people copy and pasting his comments, and he's still the same as when I filtered him months ago!

yeah but that's just messed up imo, they borrowed hundreds of millions to buy the club and then take money out of the club to pay for it, all that money should be going towards signings.

I like the threat.

Tbh Mr I do get that feeling with him quite often.

It is very messed up, apologies thought you were saying I'd missed that 8bit.

Tbh that level of spending (had we spent it all) would have been ridiculous, I wouldn't have wanted that much spent..

An extra hundred mill or so wouldn't have hurt though!

Id love Rooney to join Arsenal, he would be a dream signing.

Expect him to go abroad though if he leaves United. Good on him if he does go abroad, not many english players are brave enough to.
