Walcott has looked like a man possessed ever since he came back from injury. Not nice hearing he'll be out for such a long time.
Especially after the Spurs game where he looked extremely menacing. Arsenal's going to miss him.
Now we all knew we needed a mobile striker. But I think we may need a Di Maria or Reus type striker on top. We can't just have the attacking mid type players on the flank ala Cazorla. Nor am I sure we can rely/wait for Gnabry or Chamberlain.
We look very thin up top with Bendtner being injured and Giroud feeling and looking tired.
Can't let this overwhelm the team.
Wenger has the money. He has the go out and buy.
Sh'it! We Need A Winger & A Striker Now

Sorry but a good player but as you have mentioned we have youngster that are better in Ox and Gnarby....
------------------
Different players. Oxlade and Gnabry both star on the wing but their end point is behind the striker. Gnabry's assist for Santi is very typical of his game play. Its also similar with Oxalde.
Ince is a direct player whose end point is on goal like Walcott.
If we want to go big with that type, I would go for Hulk. His starting point is wing but he ends up again, on goal.
This why so many people find Walcott frustrating. They very much misunderstand what he provides to our gameplay and how we are setup to take advantage of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hulk is left-footed and one-footed. He can't use the inside right channel like Theo because he will need to shift it to his left giving DFs time to recover while Theo can close in on goal and finish with his right.

Lavezzi would run riot with Arsenal.

But he would not give us the goals Theo used to give. We would need 'a Cavani' if we signed Lavezzi.

He would chip in with em though. As has been stated, we will not find a like for like replacement for Walcott. No one does what he does in the Prem.
Lavezzi would offer quite a lot to the team as whole I reckon.

Never even reached 10 goals for Napoli, I don't think he would work in our system.
AW will either keep playing Ox and Gnabry (although not fully equivalent to Theo) or try to find someone similar to Theo.

Doesn't matter. It's not just about goals y'know? Lavezzi is a good player. Nothing special. But a good player.
What's going on with Lucas at PSG though?

It is for us. You need goals to win games. We have a solid DF but we need goals because
a) Giroud is not prolific
b) Theo was our most productive attacking player last season and by the look of things was going to be a massive boost to the whole team coming back from injury, and we lost him
c) our other wide player now is Cazorla, more of a creator.
Would a front 3 of Pod - CF (or Giroud) - Ox work? I don't know for sure.

Dunno what's w/ Lucas. Stats say featured sporadically, 9 starts 8 sub apps, 3 goals 5 assists.

If we are not buying a goalscoring winger than we may as well stick with what we have and go all out for a top striker.
Which I think is the right way to go.
