£36 for Leeds.....

Tickets announced for the game with the underachievers down the road...

Adults £36..Seniors £24.

We charged them £29....and £20 for seniors

Rip off ? yes...

Should we charge them more (if we were allowed) ..probably

Will it stop you from going ?

Best we just take 3 points off them (again) I suppose

3pm kick off too....Did WY Police miss this one ?

I dont know why town dont just show the game at the john smiths on a big screen and earn some extra revenue that way...we did that final game in lg2 a few years back and a few thousand turned up.....b good with a full kilner bank watching together....then theres the beer sales pie,s etc....

Leeds wouldn't allow it.

Should be on the web somewhere though

As long as we sell our allocation they wouldnt be any problems....the costs are minimal uplink truck either end and a portable screen...

sheff clubs do it allt time when in the same division

Ah, yes , the Leeds website, the same website who's highlights of last season's game consisted of L99ds winning 1-0, they never showed the Town goals !!

Show the game on a big screen, the best you can hope for is someone takes a laptop down to Canalside and links it up to one of the televisions whilst streaming it off t'internet

Given that illegal streams are everywhere it surprises me that the FA havent got to grips with it and allowed legal live streaming at certain places. We could for example have a live stream at Canalside for away games and if we had to charge a nominal amount to get in and split it with the home team. For games like the Leeds one I would travel over for that as you could be in nicer surroundings with fellow fans and have a beer whilst watching the game! The club would do well from it and at a time of falling attendances it could prove a nice boost in interest.

There is the argument that if we show it live then it will kill people turning up but as these illegal streams exist then I personally think that it wouldnt stop those that were going to go from going to the game but would capture those who dont go to away games as much.

Then again the FA, FIFA and UEFA are hardly quick to see problems and do something about it!

The thing is the clubs would never agree to it.

1400 tickets for Leeds at £36 is £50,400

Why would Leeds agree to it being shown at Canalside and for the sake of it let's say £10 in with a maximum of 200 that would be £2000
Clubs would end up losing more and more money

You make a fair point Wakey but I think what I was trying to get at was these illegal streams are getting more and more popular and I know people who used to go to games (of various teams), who now watch it on their computer. Most though will go to the pub when they are shown on TV so I figure its a similar type of thing.

It wouldnt surprise me now we have 4G if some people at the ground also have another game streaming on their phones (if that is possible??!)
