This sounds like a good signing - time will tell - but we certainly need experienced reinforcements at the back. I hope that he isn't too ring rusty or injury prone like the last ex West Brom player we signed (Shelton).

Roberto Di Matteo preffered Shelton to Miette at West Brom if you read his wikipedia notes. Crazy.

Thanks NY - I did rate Shelton highly as a player but the problem was that we never got more than a few games out of him at a time before another injury layoff. Meite is quite short for a centre back at just over 6' but I suppose it could be ok if he plays alongside a taller centre back. I just hope that he has a decent turn of speed. At 33, this may be an issue against quick forwards.

The one thing he has that we have lacked is experience Crazy.
Red Star Paris (26) Marseille (152) Bolton (56), West Brom (48) Dijon (25) and FC Honka Finland (25)
He also has 48 Ivory Coast Caps.

I certainly agree with that NY. His experience could be critical - especially now. Apparently the Corporal's scan has shown no improvement in the bulging disks, except for the fact that they are no longer pressing on the nerves. He is going to be allowed to do some gentle heading in Training but the club has to be extremely careful with him. This suggests that he is some way off still from being back in competitive action, if he comes back at all. The club has to really ensure that his neck can stand up to the rigours of the game, or the consequences could be catastrophic.

In the DFP, that he may need season ending surgery.
