How do we set up tomorrow?

Hi all. Haven't posted for a while, but have been watching the board's reaction to the transfer news. Hope you're all doing great.

Fantastic news about our two new wingers. Great to see us strengthening in a transfer window, rather than flogging our top talent - superb. Fingers crossed the they settle in quickly, and bring some much needed pace/close control to the team.

so, my question to the group is...if you are Brian, how do you set the lads up tomorrow. After having played (and presumably trained with) wing-back system for last few months, can you expect the players to slot straight into a 4-4-2, with limited time to set them up in training? will the new boys be plug-and-play? will they be match fit? Do Marius/Pearce have enough cover with Byram and Pugh either side of them (especially if they will be encouraged to overlap wingers).

I really have no idea how we'll set up tomorrow. It's great that we have options!!

Looking forward to it

Wednesday aren't much of a threat apart from at set pieces from what I have seen.

Leeds really should win this game. I am praying for a really impressive win and everyone will forget about the 3 losses in time for Leicester next week. Cheapish tickets get a good crowd and you never know.

I agree that we shouldn't make drastic changes. We've been playing badly, but both new signings in and a change of system in a derby is probably too much.

If we've got two wingers in as well, and guys who aren't prolific goalscorers, I don't see the logic behind playing them in a front 3 with Ross. Keep Smith in there for his threat in the box from crosses.

I'd like to see Stewart either in the midfield 3 or as the left wing back. Kebe on the bench to make an impact if needed.

I would have in Brown but Tongue is a blade.

Both ex blades, both wanna do them over, both Leeds united now.

Tonge got the goal last season against them. He's a good player on his day, maybe this is a game he'll put a performance in.

not too sure how we'll line up tomorrow but would expect 1 of the 2 new guys to start if nothing else just to give us that bit of pace we're desperate for.

Longer term I think we'll see different formations for diffrent matches but wouldnt be surprised to see us play 4231 which served us well in an attacking sense at least in our first season up with the 2 holders being any 2 from austin, murphy, mowatt and less likely brown and tongue. The 3 behind smith being stewart and kebe wide and ross between them.

4-4-2. Would be surprised to see Kebe play but he might make the bench. Stewart and Ariyibi on the wings, Smith & McCormack up front. As for the remainder of the team who knows????!
