Liverpool reignite interest in Yarmolenko

Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers has been eyeing up the Ukrainian international for some months. Liverpool have shifted their attention to Dinamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko after stumbling in their pursuit of Basel winger Mohamed Salah,

The Ukrainian has given a good account of himself in the World Cup playoffs against France and Liverpool are on his trail to spruce their attacking options up front.

The winger is expected to be available for a fee in the range of £15m and has been in red hot form for Kiev, scoring eight goals in only 16 appearances this season. Salah is still under Liverpool's radar but Brendan Rodgers is not taking any chances as they look to keep their challenge up for a place in the top four.

£15m seems a fair price for a player of Yarmolenko’s experience and potential.

Looking likely salah Will go for the money at zenit?
Thought they hated blacks and africans playin for the team?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Got nothing to do with Salah. He wants to join us but only Zenit are willing to match Basle price tag for him. We are out of the running.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What will happen is player negotiations with Zenit will break down and Basle will just have to accept. Isnt his contract nearly up too?

No Egyptian has made a big impact in European football.

First time for everything though.

African players are increasingly influential in Europe in the last decade.

I don't want Yarmolenko, doesn't seem anything special. Having seen plenty of both I can say I'd much rather us sign Salah, better player and would be cheaper.
