last night, another comparison.

Really enjoyed last nights performance, it was one of the best in the league for a very long time.
I have listened to various comments about past performances, and one comparison occurred to me .It was in my opinion (for the over 50s) type of Bloomfield performance.it seemed to be like a 70s match.
Flair , creativity , passing and above all team spirit.
Am not sure that NP would allow the players to behave like Bloomfields boys did after a match, but it was a breathe of fresh air.
Grannies or Baileys anyone ??

Grannies? 1970's? Reminds me of 'Grab a granny night'.

Spot on, Thorney. Bloomfield's sides played Leicester's best football in my experience, and while they had players in them superior in quality (eg Wellens, Sammels, Shilton) to anyone we have at present, the current crop are certainly coming close, in terms of speed and touch.

Talking of the Bloomfield years, anyone remember the midweek game at home against the "pool"? Early doors 2 down, 3-2 up at half time (weller hatrick?)....last night, our football reminded me a lot of that match!
