It may have been a different trophy but it was still called the world cup. Liverpool have never won the premierleague.

As a neutral. i'd have to say Liverpool as they'd be the only English team that could win it. The others are just there to make up the numbers.

This is why, as a neutral I would rather see Blackburn back up in the premier league rather than a team like Liverpool who are just there to make up the numbers.

Also United have won more CL's than Liverpool.

Regardless Liverpool have been a mere shadow of what United have been for the past few decades
