Today marked the funeral of the legendary Gerald Mortimer, a man whose vast love, knowledge and enthusiasm for our football club could always be felt in his writing.
If things were going well at our club, he'd celebrate that fact to the hilt - and back again. If things weren't so rosy and a point needed to be made, he'd be the first to do so, and wasn't afraid if he ruffled feathers, or how many he ruffled for that matter!
For this, I salute you Mr. Mortimer.

Along with Graham Richards, Gerald was Derby through and through and will always be synonymous with The Rams to me.

I didn't think he had as I'm sure there would have been similar tributes to the ones given to Gerald.
