Missed the Match

No major Injuries Mate. thats the positive.
Negative for me is the french took their foot off the gas in the second half. they really should have hammered us. Our defence was shabby to say the least. Second half we was the experience been let loose from the bench and it certainly change our shape for the better. Heaslip and POC had a very positive impact which highlights the importance of having a strong bench.

Considering the team we put out, it was a tall order to win this fixture. i have been speculating on what DK's mind set is, and came to the conclusion he is targeting the final 2 games and used the Scotland game and the 1st french game to experiment. On one hand i understand that but on the other i don't like it at all because the combinations he tried were down right stupid. Wallace and McFadden will never play together in the centre and the same goes for Wallace and earls. 2 centre partnerships that are never likely to see the light of day in a real test match.

So why try an experiment if you know the result is not going to change anything.

Anyway don't miss the return fixture at home next weekend. We should see a close to full strength Irish anf indeed French team so it should be a cracker.

However, if DK puts out our full strength 15.... guess what... it will be the first time they have played together im laughing but im not joking...

Cheers mate. I havnt seen highlights or anyhting, not b choice, its been a busy few days, but I heard that Mike Ross came on and the scrum sured up an awful lot.

Great that there is no injuries, and maybe that POC is coming back to his best at the right time.

Did Conor Murray get a run? And did Rog do anything to challenge for the 10 shirt? I'm sure itll be Jonny, but id much rather it wasnt clear cut as both would have to be playing very well to get the numbe 10!

I mean coming on from last week, as in the scrum was much better this week ith Mike Ross. I know he was starting. Sorry, im sleepy!

Rog had a good game, on fire with the boot (even made a couple of good tackles). Murray got 20/25 minutes and looked good. The negatives for me were Buckley (this man has no business playing playing professional rugby), and Best's throwing was just awful.

I suppose this is probably the best way to get a grip of what's going on and to be fair Thornley is hands down the best ruby pundit in Ireland. So I reckon you should read this.

Ye best was not at his 'best' with the darts. But he's our best scrummaging hooker and another experienced leader on the feild so i guess hes well in contention. cronan is probably a little to green for my liking and was uninspiring during the scotland match so proving flanary is fit our hookers will be flannary and best.

Buckley is a disgrace. I really don't see what he brings? Bulk??? well ye but hes not fast enough to use it effectively. Hes completely rubbish in the scrum and his lineout lifting is not outstanding either. Really... what the hell does he bring? apart from a big appetite...

ROG, well we know what were gona get from ROG. World class game manager. Sexton is an attacking Fly half ROG is a thinking mans Fly Half. Were in good shape here and have the very nice situation of being able to spring either or from the bench if the game requires a change of direction.

Paddy Walace will get a seat on the plane because eh is apparently a Utility back...

While im happy for Murray he is not ready for a World Cup. SH's that will go are Reddan#1 TOL#2 Boss#3
