The Posh V The Rovers

Peterborough entertain Tranmere at London Road on Saturday, needing to win.

We've pushed five goals past Tranmere twice this season, so a repeat of this would be a real confidence booster after having been dumped out of the FA Cup by Kidderminster. A defeat like that should prompt the players to bounce back with a win, although it will not be easy with Tranmere seeking to avenge their own defeats.

I'm now erasing the recent past and looking forward to a Posh revival.

Onwards and upwards - UTP!

Contrasting seasons, certainly, TF, but there's still time to pull the rabbit out of the hat ...

I think you'll bounce back and get a win on Saturday....but I don't see you getting five!

Touch wood, Don.

Don't worry, Ajose will score for you.

We're at Gillingham, a truly awful place. I've only been once, in 1966 or it may have been '67. We lost 0-1 after dominating the game. It was enough for me to know I never wanted to go back. We're hopeless away from home so I'm expecting the worst, then I won't be disappointed.

Don, we drew 2-2 at Gillingham in December, so you've got a good chance of a result, although Peter Taylor is manager there.

Perhaps expecting the worse is better than fearing the worst as I have been doing recently. Best, however, to go into every game with some hope in your heart, as I will be doing this Saturday.

As will I TP. How can a team that played so well at the start of the season, when one football sports writer wrote that Posh were far too good for League One, allow themselves to be beaten by teams just promoted from the lower league?

I haven't a clue. It's a funny old game. We didn't deserve to be relegated from the Championship. We don't, on current form, deserve to be promoted from League One. We need to start repeating last second-half-of-season form, pronto!

The sun's starting to come out for his afternoon's game. I'm hoping for a sunny outcome.

C'mon the Posh! And good luck to the Robins!

3-0 - that'll do. Two goals on a muddy pitch from Assombalonga and Ajose first goal.

Notts County at home next, on Tuesday night. Another winnable game.

I told you Ajose would score. Good result, well done.

I'm not discussing my team's abysmal performance. When the opposition fans chant 'can we play you every week' things really are bad.
