Jamaal Lascelles

Not sure how many have seen this young lad, or even heard of our rumoured interest in him but I was certainly pleased when I heard the link. This 20 year old defender has talent, very composed on the ball, quite agile, clean in the tackle. I watched Forest a few times last year when I noticed Lansbury playing and the young defender caught my eye. I think he'd be Wenger's ideal defender someone who's comfortable on the ball and quite sound defensively and with Bould now working his magic I think this young Englishman can really develop strongly if he came.

I am of the opinion that we need just 1 more defensive player this month and I think a young talented one is the best option. If TV's struggling for games then it will be hard to please an extra experienced defensive recruit, in Jamaal we could have someone who wants to learn his trade and develop under the best manager for such cases .

If you do notice our interest taken any further I'd advise all to take it with some optimism, it makes sense and he'll also be added into our young core of Brits. He's a bit like Rio Ferdinand in his prime but more quicker, If Smalling has adapted to the EPL from the conference to some degree then I'm fully confident in Lascelles succeeding. Forest do want to offer him a deal to dismiss interest but hopefully he'll fancy the challenge

I work in the East Mids. at present, and there are a few Forrest fans at work. I've never seen Lascelles play live myself, but the Forrest fans here really rate him. They're saying that he's really come on a lot this season, and they don't want him to go; especially as they are pushing for promotion, or a play-off place this season. After all, if they get promoted, they're going to need him next season. It could be a good buy, but The Bar Codes are supposed to be after him as well, so we might have to up any offer that we're considering right now.

Yeah I've discovered their interest too, it frightens me as he may opt for more game time but we're rumoured to be willing to leave him there on loan till the end of the though an extra defensive body will be useful to keep around especially as his age means he doesn't require registration in all competitions

Bags of potential but it would be years before hes at the level required to start for Arsenal.

Sign and loan back to forest until 2015 would be the best option in my opinion. Especially if they can get promoted this season and provide PL experience for him next year.

Forest fan in peace here, Jamaal has come on leaps and bounds this season for us, but Alvin you are spot on he wouldn't be ready foe a run in your 1st team for a good season or so. He has been a rock this season, is good in the air, composed on the deck and you can definitely tell Mr Wenger to politely sod off we need him more than you, and besides i think we would demand double what you are rumored to be offering as we are in a position of not needing to sell for the 1st time in years, and with the previous prices for young Englishmen to leave the Championship 3mil just simply is a mile off where the bid needs to be, after all we rejected a 5mil bid last season and he hadn't even played a 1st team game! All the best for the remainder of the campaign lads, but without Lascelles of course.

So we'll loan him back to you until 2015 then yeah?

Good luck for the run in... not many more experienced than Lansbury to get you there!

Lansbury is our best player by far, iv been really impressed with him, looks destined for the prem, i just hope its with us. He is just a class above in the Championship.

Fair enough mate, I agree you probably need him more than us at the minute but I'd love this to happen. Haven't really had an English man lead from the back since Sol and I miss that dearly
