If Verdasco had won v Nadal in AO 2009?

If Fernando Verdasco had won the semi-final of Australian Open in 2009 would he have gone on to win Australian Open is a question I would like to ask all you tennis fans.
In my opinion I think he would have beaten Federer in the final of Australian Open as he played the best tennis of his life in Australian Open of 2009.

What do you guys think?

No, I don't think so. There's a reason why he lost - he wasn't good enough - even playing his best Tennis.

I did expect him to really kick on from then, though.
