Goodmorning my fellow Spurs fans
and all the on-looking, nosey Liverpool fans
Here is my team v Swansea
Its time for Sherwood to take that 4-4-2 of his and throw it temporarily out the window, as although they lack cutting edge, if we play 4-4-2 we will see so little of the ball that I don't think we will have time to create enough to get more than a draw.
-------------------Lloris--------------------------
Walker----Dawson----Chiriches---------Rose
-------------Bentaleb----Dembele--------------
---------------------Eriksen----------------------
Lennon-----------------------------Townsend
----------------Ade-----------------------------
My reasoning
Sadly, the defence picks itself (we really need a centre back and a left back)
Midfield - Bentelab gives us legs, and calmness on the ball, and a bit of bite. Dembele is strong and good on the ball too. Eriksen providing the extra body in the midfield area.
We wont have that much of the ball, but these three can all move the ball forward quickly, and in addition, Dembele can beat a man in midfield to open the game up on the break.
For this reason I have gone with two out and out speedy wingers, because I think if we are to win this it will be on the break. Ade gives us that added pace over Soldado too...
Eriksen is the key man, after winning the ball, Bentaleb/Dembele/Centre backs must feed him as soon as possible to give him a chance to play an early ball to the wingers ... hopefully into the space behind the fullback.
Eriksen's job will then be to get in the box like he did v Man U.
In terms of defence. They play Bony up top. Dawson to mark him, Chiriches to sweep up.
If we use a sensible system and play well we will win this game.

I like two strikers up front, City will definitely play with two up top, so why should not Spurs playing 2 up front at home. The Spurs defence is rubbish, so to try to contain most teams is not the best idea, so attack is the best form of defence in my book.

As for your team Chronic, isn't Townsend injured - after feeling a twinge in his hammy during the Newcastle U21's game?
I'm sure i read he might just make the City game.

Should be a good match with 2 teams who never threaten the top places
