Cart horse Tim Bresnan

The title of the article says all that needs to be said..
Big Bressy has a back problem. Medical staff medical staff. Please please please get him fit in time for the ashes.
So they work wonders and he takes part in the test series does f all and now hes in the odi team. Now the million dollar question....

Is why is he in the team? past preformances? If that's the case bring back w g grace.. Pathetic average player. who doesn't score runs for all his backing,oh look timmy is handy with the bat.. Is he? does he actually score runs? and as for his bowling action everything is angled leg side.

Buttler will never be a test match batsman, t20 and odi only, he has a shocking technique that is not suited to test matches. And he will only come off with the bat 1 in 5 in the limited overs games, it is a bit early to write Bairstow off.

And who would you replace Bresnan with? Pick a specialist bowler who can not bat and you lose the potential for the lower order to win you a game, it can be done as the Aussies proved today.

Bresnan has been average, but has recently returned from injury and can be excused a little, the only way to get form back is by playing games.

Eh, If buttler had a shocking technique he would never score a run at any level.. and you don't think Bairstow doesn't have technique problems?.
Has for picking someone who cant bat as a bowler? Its not the bowlers job to get runs.. and add to that Bresnan doesn't actually score any runs. Its beats the objective of your argument..

Bairstow`s technique is not without problems but is more likely to score runs at test level than Buttler, and Bairstow`s first class batting average of 43 compared to Buttler`s average of 32 backs this up.

These days in ODI games bowlers need to chip in with runs, the days of rabbits walking out at 9. 10 and 11 have gone, Bresnan has ODI batting average of 19, which is not too bad for a number 8, 9 or 10.

He also has a test batting average of 30.
