Big Positives

So we should have won, but the football was good and a point at Anfield is more than most will get

Suarez failed to score, that takes some doing

Bertrand showed what a real left back does

Benteke back to form and just a shame Gabby injured, lets hope not for long.

Quality Villa, why can't we do that more often

We haven't seen a performance like this since August. Was actually disappointed that we didn't win, yet I would have snapped off anyone's hand who had offered a 2-2 score before the game.

Yet it shouldn't be forgotten that we are 6 points off ROCK BOTTOM still. This is no time to becone complacent. We have a huge local derby against the Villa Haters from Handsworth next up.

But no doubt, a good performance today.

Great performance and it will b up & down as the side is young.

Should've been down to ten men for that elbow on Suarez.

What was Bacuna doing holding his face?

Bit handy with their elbows are Villa apparently.

Good result, even better performance. First time for many matches we've gone out with real attacking intent. Thought the movement up front was great.

Don't be too hard on Bacuna. He'll play RB but he's not comfortable there. Wonder where Lowton was.

Excellent result yesterday, although slightly disappointing given we were 2 up. First half we were as good as I've seen us all season and probably should have been more up. Wish Gabby would play like that every game because he was outstanding and Liverpool couldn't handle him, much like Arsenal couldn't on the opening day of the season. As sioon as he went off I knew we wouldn't win as there was no one to run in behind Liverpool. Lambert got it right with the starting line up but once again got it wrong by bringing Holt on - should have brought on Albrighton as he is quick and we wouldn't have had to change our style to accommodate Holt.

Still think we could be in for a long season unless we sign a ball playing midfielder. A Kiyotake or Defour in our team would make us strong and capable of a midtable finish.

Liked the look of Bertrand who did well. More signings like that and I'll lay off Lambert, even if they are only loans. Bertrand has definitely added quality to the side and will make us stronger.

Think Lambert would be keener on Kiyotake than Defour, more of an attacking creative player. He says he's moved on from last summer's interest in Kiyotake, and he probably wouldn't be able to get him in this transfer window anyway. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him take another look in the summer.

If we can keep this up, not only will we steer well clear of the drop, but it will fans the huge boost they've been wanting. I want us to crush Baggies at home.
