The Brazil striker has been a transfer target for both Chelsea and Real Madrid over the past few months, but the player decided to commit his immediate future to his current club Santos.
That could soon change, as City scouts have apparently given Roberto Mancini glowing reports about the 19-year-old.
Mancini is now planning to ask the board to make landing Neymar a priority, reports the People.

no because there was more fact in that story. namely atletico had agreed to his transfer request.

Did you say the same when the papers started to report we were looking at Aguero ?
Yes, I also said the same when the papers said we were on the brink of buying Sanchez, Sneijder, Eto'o, Rooney, Drogba and the 100+ other players we've been linked to in the last 2 years.
Even if there was some truth in story, why the hell would we be going after Robinho 2.0 when we're already struggling to get rid of other disruptive elements like Ade and Tevez.

Neymar and Balotelli in the same squad, we might as well have got Billy Smart's Circus to be our shirt sponsors.
