Looking at the comments Wenger came out with recently:
"The transfer market in January is a low key transfer market.
There is very reduced activity (generally). There will be some of course, but in the last three days as always."
Not sure whether one can look too much into it.
Wenger's words are very cryptic and difficult to study.
I really hope we sign Draxler or a forward of that ilk. God knows the team needs a little boost.
What do you think though Gooners? He's made quite a few last minute deals in recent years.
Do you think Arsene will bring out the chequebook?

I think he might try to sign someone, but probably to no avail.
Allez Sanogo!

I think he will bring someone in and it will be a last day signing. I do not think it will be a big name or a big money deal... but I feel sure he will add at least one player to the squad this window.
this could depend on the fitness and what AW sees over the week with Sanogo and Bendtner
at least the window closes soon.

Who the hell has a chequebook these days?
Doesn't seem that cryptic to me, Dubbed. He's saying that, generall, nothing happens in the January window until the last 3 days. An observation that won't come as a surprise to anyone.

That image of him at Heathrow does suggest that Wenger's up to something. I'd be surprised if he was going for media commitments in the thick of the season, and he doesn't take holidays.
Methinks a player needs convincing.

He'll bring in another signing like Viviano. Our season will be saved.
