Im sure you all have been reading about this ICC restructuring that has hit the cricket world. The more suprising thing for me is none of those English fans or Australian fans have raised this issue, because this time its not just BCCI that is bullying others in the cricketing world, but ECB and CA have joined hands to follow BCCI.
Some of the consenquences of this proposal is that FutureTP will be scrapped and we will only have bilateral series. That means with this 3 teams in power we will only more or less see them play in profitable tours. So playing teams like NZ, WI, SL Pakistan will be out of the equation because unfortunately they dont generate money as much as others do.
The bigger consenquence is that they are also planning to have the 2 tier system and this 3 Bullies will have an exemption from relegation. It doesnt matter how bad the teams are but they will not move down the tier.
This pretty much means the ranking system is out of the equation. Well if this 3 dont play the other 7 teams regularly, which they still dont, then there is no point of having ranking system.
This means Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will not get opportunities to play teams like India, England and Australia.
THe bigger bully in my eyes are ECB and CA because they have basically joined hands with BCCI to rule cricket. from all the teams, this 2 were a big reason why BCCI wasnt able to fully control ICC, but since they have sold their souls/prestige, I can only see cricket going in one direction.
NB when was the last time England and Australia played Zimbabwe, Bangladesh? If these 2 teams werent able to help this emerging countries when FutureTP was alive how do you expect them to even play these teams when there is no FutureTP?
The only thing I can hope now is when the series are organised, they make sure that all teams get a fair amount of chance to play each other. Otherwise cricket is just a circus.

I dont think SA will join hands. Its between Pak and SL. ANd I feel Pak will be the one. They will be offered a series with india both away and at home, and that will be enough for them to crack.

I wonder how much this will be used as motivation by SA against the Aussies. It is always assumed that these 2 teams are best of buddies. Imagine if SA ambush the Aussies just like the Aussies did to England!

The way you guys I mean cricketing authorities in India England and Australia have reacted and tried to bully and succeeded in doing so is a disgrace to the spirit of cricket and fairplay.
