When you sold RVP to a rival?

I know Mata was turned into a bench player for us but I very much adored him as a footballer and a gentleman. When I see all these mata images and phrases that we created like "the Juan and only" published by United fans it really does make me feel sick inside, like I'm entering an exam that I haven't revised for.

Just wonder how long it's gonna take me get over him really, but I'm sure Arsenal fans have perhaps felt the same in the past?

ill never get over the fact we just handed Persil to Utd i just cant believe it even to this day,i know we are a seling club but i just cant understand u guys giveing Utd your best player its just NOT heard of

The stats were pretty skewed that season, to be fair. He scored two hattricks and five in another game.

He wasn't actually delivering as consistently in front of Tevez did that season, even though he scored the same amount.

He possibly could have done more to make him a better player but I think a lot of it was also down to Berba as well.

He wasn't the best fit for United but when he fancied it he was exceptional, he just didn't fancy it enough, and that evidently was a reason he didn't justify a place in the team,

I don't think him and Rooney worked as a partnership either and so Berba was always gonna make way as Rooney was much better.

Shame really. He couldn't have been a much better player than he actually has been in his career. The Nani of strikers, Berba is.
