Personally, I'm not too bothered about missing out on Salah (if Liverpool actually have) I haven't seen much of him admittedly but he hasn't looked like a £12 million player to me. Has potential yes, but not that impressive.
What Liverpool badly, badly need is another DM/CM type. The team looks so much better with Lucas in the side, but only have him for that position. The midfield badly needs another DM and I really don't know why Liverpool haven't got one.
Hopefully we put the unspent £10 million or whatever for Salah towards a DM type player.
In the games so far, Liverpool don't struggle to score or create, and have the 2nd best GD in the league! It's cover/competition in midfield we lack.
Salah is an idiot if he chooses to go there anyway. Have fun on the bench, you unambitious fool

I am quite sure that BR is made aware, indeed would have some limited input, as to the maximum price the club is willing to pay for any player. BR will have been left in no doubt that, should the price exceed that, then with exception, LFC would pull out.
That has to be the way. The alternative, with different individuals in the club having different figures in mind, utter chaos would exist. Of course BR wanted Salah, but he was priced out of our market. End of. Game over. Move on. Get over it. Find another player. Good luck to Salah, I hope he finds happiness at Chelsea.

Jimmy - it was 11 million.
I'd understand if it was a 20 million + player.
Maybe, just maybe, we dident want to get into a biddig war with Chelsea..and understandbly so

where does it say it was 11 million? I've seen reports of 16, 12 10 even 8 million. Which one are you relying on Lefty?

Lefty, lets face it, should he sign for Chelsea, we will never know the final cost of signing Salah, and as you so rightly say, LFC can't afford, not just for financial reasons either, to get into a bidding war, with Chelsea or indeed many other clubs. Our club is better run than that.

From what I have been reading Chelsea will get him for 11 million, plus add-ons. They were willing to go to 16
Would have been nice if we did bid 14, just so Chelsea have to pay a little more for him.
Saying that, just been on the Liverpool site\Transfer gossip.....there is still a chance.
Lefty the 3rd

What if BR feels he's not worth 14?

RAP, 2 additions top this windows.
It would be hard to bed in 3-4 players. We cant afford to have a dip now.
Just 1-2 and pray we dont have too many injuries. We do have a good chane to finish 4th..thats our main priority.
If we do, I'd rather save any extra money for then, as we ca get more bang for buck in summer...and players would want to come to us with the lure of CL football.
Its a risk both ways

I'm not too concerned with missing out on Salah , as we do have options up front.
We need a DM with Lucas out - even if it's a loan deal.
Gerrard , Henderson & Allen aren't capable of filling that role.
