With Lamps,Cole and JT all coming to the end of their Chelsea careers, almost certainly some this summer, we are looking pretty sad in the Home Grown players list.
Cahill,Bertrand and Moses being the only 3 I can think of.
We should be looking at having 8 so the club must be hoping to bring through some youngster that meet the home grown rules or we will be getting seriously ripped off in the English players market.
Barkley and Shaw are 2 possibilities but who else out there is worth a punt?

At the start of this season we submitted a squad of only 22 players to the PL.
You dont include under 21's in the squad.
We only had 5 home growns, and although a squad should be about quality not quantity we have to either buy or promote from the under 21's in the next couple of years.

Take away the 3 above and we'd be down to a squad of 19.
That would make selection easy at least.

As Bertrand is now on loan we are down to 21 already for the rest of the season

Which isn't next season when we'll be low on hg players.
