Dream League Week 15 Fixtures

Dagenham & Redbridge v Burnley

D&R Line Up:

------------------Hugo Lloris
Lahm----Sergio Ramos-----Thiago Silva----De Sciglio
--------Javi Martinez-----Ilkay Gundogan
Thomas Muller----Mario Gotze --------Gareth Bale
-----------------Edison Cavani

Subs: Rossi, Balotelli, Nasri, Gotze, Papa

Burnley Line Up:

-----------------Butland-------------------
Corchia-----Kompany--Kouyate-------Baines
------------Busquets---Illarremendi--------
Rodriguez-------Fabregas--------Deulofeu
-----------------Rooney-------------------

Subs: Martinez, Lovren, Turan, Jenkinson, Falcao

Both teams lined up with familiar faces and familiar formations.
Two very good teams with such strong squads they have the luxury
of having the likes of Balotelli and Falcao on their benches.
D & R are a hard team to beat, having lost only once this season
and 21 has them playing a nice tight game with pace power and flair
up front. D & R being the home team stuck with their usual system which has stood them in good stead this season. Burnley tinkered a little bit
with the FBs under the instruction to sit back a little and with 2 out
and out DMs it would be interesting to see if this more cautious approach
and counter attacking play would pay dividends. Unfortunately it didn't
and to an extent D&R had the game won psychologically before a ball was
even kicked. In my view D&R are too good a team to be beaten on the
counter Burnley lacked a bit of get up and go. They are a good enough team and maybe showed too much caution and maybe showed D&R too much respect by changing their style. Maybe too much emphasis on Fabregas who in my book would have been better suited with a CM who had the orders to get himself forward and about a bit more. Unlucky TBag

Thomas Muller (Edinson Cavani)
Edinson Cavani (Mario Gotze)

MOTM : Edinson Cavani

D&R : Hugo Lloris, Ilkay Gundogan, Gareth Bale

Shrewsbury Town v Sekhukhune Lions

Shrewsbury Line Up:

______________________Neuer___________________
Piszczek________Boateng_____Chiellini_______Mbaye
_______________De Rossi______Kroos______________
Robben_____________Ibrahimovic___________Cazorla
____________________Mandzukic_________________

SUBS: Khedira, Alonso, Maxim, Schurrle, Kruse

Sekhukhune Lions Line Up:

-------------------------De Gea--------------------------
-------------Benatia--------------Koscienly------------
Carvajal-----------------------------------------Oviedo
------------------------Reinartz--------------------------
------------Witsel------------------Matuidi--------------
---------------------------Isco----------------------------
----------------PEA----------------Suarez---------------

SUBS: Wollscheid, Koke, Griezmann, Gonalons, Modric

Two teams with their own definitive styles. Shrewsbury with a
Bundesliga feel and Leiva with his high intensity possession
based game. Shrewsbury it seemed not too worried about holding
on to the ball but looked quite dangerous when they had it.
Lions it seemed had done their homework and knew exactly how
Shrewsbury would play and therefore had every eventuality
covered. The roles for Shrewsbury's players seemed a bit too
set in stone compared to those of the Lions who played with
much more freedom and creativity. This was to be the crucial
factor in a relatively tight game which saw Isco's creativity
take the points.

Result

Isco (PEA)
