Sting is expected by many within WWE to finally sign a contract and work with the company for the first time in his career.
While Sting may not have officially signed a contract yet, the talk within WWE is said to be stronger at this point than ever in the past. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports:
“While a contract itself may not have been signed, and it is something that has been talked about for months, Sting in WWE is stronger than ever to the point concepts using the term “A Man Called Sting" are in discussion."
Sting will wrestle on tonight’s (taped) episode of Impact Wrestling in a match where he puts his TNA contract on the line for a World Title shot against Magnus.

Still don't like Taker vs. Sting at Wrestle Mania, the natural place to hold this match (at least the first) is Survivor Series.
The only way I could see this match carrying any appeal beyond the imagery is if it was recognised as Sting's last match going in - making it his one and only ever WWE appearance. Could easily become another HBK/Flair if that was the case.

I think that would be the case but because his contract is always up in January and if he renews it then there is no way he can compete at a PPV like Survivor Series. Someone like Sting deserves a WM match, be it vs taker, teaming up with him or putting over someone else. Bray Wyatt vs Sting would be interesting (as an example).
