Its a Long shot I know but I think for Wenger to usher a new way of managing Arsenal he has to pick someone who hasnt been at the club for long.They are all frustrated its obvious and the one symbol that proved right Arsenes method of poaching 16 year old players for nothing to make them world class has just left the building.
Like it or not Cesc is the true symbol of Wengers pet project and now that he has left a lot of things wont make sense at the club.Yes Viera, Henry, Pires, Freddy did more but no youngster justified the stance Wenger had of not signing experienced players to hurt his youngsters like Cesc did.
The worst part is he hadn’t even reached his peak. Spare a thought for van Persie and probably jack too. must be a quiet dressing room as Cesc was very popular.
Making van Persie captain would be a big mistake and I hope when offered he turns the opportunity down.
I would personally like vermalean but even if its Kolcienly or Jack I don’t care just not Robin.

I always thought RVP would make a good captain. I remember a few instances when Cesc was captain and there had been some kind of altercation and RVP is always the first one to rush in and try and defuse the situation. Plus with his hair turning more and more silver fox, he definitely looks the part of a wiser older player
Jack I reckon is too young and occasionally still a bit too hot headed but in a year or two would be excellent captain material. I think he's a great ambassador for the club though and always seems to be the one taking part in the clubs charity events and things. One day he'll be excellent as a captain, but not just yet

And him having a go at Diaby in the Blackpool game last year, the kind of Captain's influence it's good to see in a man who used to be quite rash and immature.
