Maybe Some Good News

Rosicky has gotta have a late fitness test for tomorrow's game, not really good news but if he fails it will at least raise my expectations for our chances in tomorrows game.

He seems to have become the latest scapegoat. I thought he was good in pre-season and against Newcastle, people seem to persist with criticising him because he was dreadful last year, and don't want to change their opinions.

You clearly didn't watch the game on Saturday, Rosicky was one of our brighter performers. Outshone Ramsey in the midfield certainly.

Outshining Ramsey on Saturday was hardly an achievement and it should be expected giving his age, experience and Ramseys recent injury. If you want your playmaker to give you nothing going forward then yea i suppose Rosicky is decent but I expect creativity from a playmaker maybe im just an stupid. The only decent forward passes I can remember on Saturday were from Song and Arshavin. I was expecting Rosicky to be one of the first players to leave this summer instead hes our main playmaker, you gotta love Wenger. Even so with that being said I was willing to give him a chance to prove himself this season but except for a 10 minute period in the Red Bulls game where he looked awesome hes back to his overly dissapointing best.

Rosicky is certainly no longer the player he was before injury. How much of the real him has gone will only be revealed if he plays lots of games.

His form was so poor last year that his playing time was nowhere near what he needs to try to get a run of games.

Maybe he's just suffering from the sudden need to play football rather than train.

Or maybe he's no longer capable of changing a game like he used to be.

Time will tell, but with Wilshere injured, Ramsey off form and Song maybe banned, Rosicky really does have to play a part in the short term. We'll soon see if he can be effective or not.
