I think we witnessed the importance of Podolski yesterday. Lethal. Absolutely lethal.
I am certain we could've scored more against City if he was playing. And I'm confident he'd cause damage against Chelsea and United too. He could've been the game changer in those games.
The guy is pure efficiency
No faffing about with the ball and he doesn't offer as much as a few of our other players in the general play department, sadly.
But he's a vital player to have in your team. Or at the very least in the squad.
Can't believe some Gooners wanted to see him sold (swapped for Draxler).
Loved the play between him and Ozil yesterday for the first goal.
Ozil didn't even need to look up. He knew Podolski was going to run on that ball. You could tell they've been playing with each other for years.
Expecting to see more of that this season.
Loved That Podolski & Ozil Combination

Always been saying can't wait for ozil and Podolski to play together.....knew it would work......

This would have been ideal:
Ozil
Walcott. Podolski

Was thinking that too. But we can't afford to drop Cazorla.

Podolski is a very good player, I hope we don't let him go.

The problem with Podolski is he doesn't play every week and because of that you don't know what you are going to get from him. Against Cardiff he was anonymous.

I think 99% of the Arsenal fans don't want to see Poldi go.
I don't quite believe Draxler will come (in January), but if he does, really want to see a game or two with the front 4 of Draxler - Poldi - Özil - Gnabry. German efficiency

"Against Cardiff he was anonymous."

That's because he was playing as a striker. He is most effective in a wide or midfield role because he is industrious.

I've said a couple of times that maybe we should consider a 4-6-0 (or 4-2-4-0 if you prefer) with a back 2 in midfield from Flamini, Arteta and Ramsey and 4 in front of them of (if we ever have them all fit) Pod, Oz, Cazorla and Walcott and just forget the CF position. We don't get many goals from the current CF and instead of them getting 20 goals or so a season and with the 3 behind getting 15-20, we could have the 4 attacking midfielders getting 20 each.

We should try:
Cazorla-Ozil-Podolski
vs
Southampton
