Tonight we welcome back Billy Sharp to the Keepmoat Stadium for his return home. We also welcome Charlton Athletic for the return game which is important in more ways than one. We need to keep up the momentum from the last two games and we also need to build a fortress at the Keepmoat. Most importantly, we owe the Addicks one for the game at the Valley which was abandoned with us leading 3-1, only to lose the replay 3-0.
Rovers will give late fitness tests to Chris Brown who took a knock on Saturday at Blackpool and Harry Forrester who missed that game, whilst Charlton will give a test to defender Cedric Evina. Yapp Kermagent will come back into the side after being rested at the weekend for the FA Cup win at Huddersfield.
Ben Hamer and Chris Solley are still injured and Rhoys Wiggins will sit out the last of a three game ban. In winning at Huddersfield with a Simon Church goal, the Addicks won themselves a trip to the Wendies in the next round.
Manager Paul Dickov said on DROS that " It was really important to get a result at Blackpool on Saturday with all the other clubs around us not playing, a result would take us out of the bottom three. Psychologically this is a big boost as we know we have clubs below us.
Any point you get in this division, especially away from home is massive and it was important after the Wigan game that we followed up with another positive result
. We would have loved to win at Bloomfield Road, but the way we came back after going behind showed great character".
Charlton have a new owner, Belgian Billionaire, Roland Dechatelet who also owns another five clubs in Europe. Standard Liege and K Sint Truidense I Belgium, A D Alcoran of Spain, Carl Zeiss Jena from Germany and Hungarian side Ujpest Doza. Another two and he has a full set.
Obviously being over here I was not at the "Meet the owners Meeting", so hopefully someone who was will post a resume of what was said.
Tonight's referee is Paul Tierney from Lancashire.
Assistants are Nick Hobbs and Geoffrey Liddle.
4th official Kevin Wright.
Just to note that so far this season Tierney has refereed 20 games, sending off EIGHT and booking Sixty Four. Don't expect there to be eleven v eleven at the end of the game.

Sorry Lanza, but Mrs L is not the only one who's had a chuckle at your expense!

Best post on here for years, much better than you said, I said. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving case.
Wish we could find out who gave Copps the nod, so we could buy her ( Mrs Lanza) a big drink.

According to sky sports our number seven is called Martin.
I just watched the video of the game last night and the commentator twice calls Duffy, "the stylish Martin".
Could this be the same commentator that NY goes on about from RP.??

No Hound, one of them has trouble distinguishing between left and right and a throw in and a corner, but credit where it is due he knows our players.

bally mentioned earlier in the thread about Bennett getting sent off on his Bradford debut.
What a joke sending off.
If you haven't seen it have a look on Skysports football video replays.
He flicks his hand at Kilkenny who then goes down holding his face as if he has taken a good punch by Tyson.
If Bradford appeal and they win then Kilkenny should be banned for a further spell for diving and feigning injury.
