I was gutted when I saw them in the starting line up, either one of them definitely, but we lose all shape and ability to hold possession when they are central together. Maybe we have too many injuries but winger got this all wrong tonight.
1-1 away at west brom, they started and we struggled.
0-1 to utd at old Trafford, we struggled to create chances.
Tonight the gap in the middle of the park was enormous, and it didn't prove to shore us up at the back, arteta not tracking his man and monreal not urgent enough to defend.
At least we don't have to worry about their unsuccessful partnership for 3 games!!
A box to box midfielder is always required, and we have a lot of them, I hope wenger is not blind to this problem and that they simply weren't fit enough.
All in all, a point is a point, you can't win them all.

Yep, they don't work that well together and I would have liked to see Ox start with one of them (Wenger would know which one would be a better partner for him as he sees them I training).

If Wenger plays these 2 together again he needs to be replaced at the end of the season.
He can play one of them with any other midfielder.
I would rather see Arteta-Vermaelen then Arteta-Flamini.
I would rather Frimpong played ffs. These two can't play together.
It's worse then facking Gerrard-Lampard axis for England.

I'd put podolski on left and bring Cazorla central if we have to, just never play the two together!!
