Its almost February, we are where we should be in mid table, season effectively over, so all that remains is for Leeds fans on the JA606 board to tear themselves apart discussing the manager’s status, until the summer break approaches and we can begin the equally traditional “Summer Takeover Window to Set Things Right" contest.
As has become our way, this contest enables posters to earn points for a variety of illuminating and thought provoking comments, all on the theme of the current manager and why he should be sacked forthwith.
PSD is lined up to put all the responses into a spread sheet and he tells me he plans on using some absolutely fascinating linear regression analysis this year, to help him determine that he is the winner, as usual.
Bonus points can be earned for:
Pointing out how many points we are off the play offs. This is very useful as most board members can’t subtract one number from another.
Coming up with original and amusing reasons BM should be sacked. Please check the 2013, 2012, 2011, 2000, 1999, 1998 and 1997 threads to avoid any plagiarising.
An old favourite has been retained, if you can come up with a candidate to replace BM that is so ludicrous no one has thought of it before there will be two bonus points (I warn you this one is going a hard one to score on, as most names already have a loyal following, however incredible and jaw dropping they may be).
If you want to score in the “I told you so in September" section that’s fine, do enter, but bear in mind as this one is very competitive you will need to provide links to THREE previous threads where you wrote at least 500 words on why BM was a miserable human being and bound to fail. I hope there will be plenty of entrants here, as other board members do love the opportunity to re-read your mind-numbingly long dissertations on the world as it looked last year, the longer the better, in fact.
I have asked PSD to judge the “Inventive Arithmetic" section, in this we will be looking for the most rib-achingly daft reasoning that seeks to prove BM has had more funds than the manager of Man City and his failure to deliver Champions League football by now should be punished not just with sacking but, as we approach the Easter holiday, a suitable event involving two big pieces of wood and some nails.
If you have seen one of our star players (in case you are unsure that’s Ross, we don’t have any others worthy of the name) in a coffee bar in any place that has a premier league club, feel free to earn points by embellishing this slightly and converting the lady he was with into the Chief Exec or manager of said Premier club, and the venue to their training ground, and the coffee cups to a contract he was signing and shaking hands on.
It hardly needs saying, but a warning that any who suggest, however gently, that others than the manager may bear a teentsy weentsy bit of responsibility for the mess we are in, will of course be disqualified with no right of appeal on the grounds they are being boring and tedious.
If you feel I have missed any important categories, do let me know!
I declare the contest open.

Don't forget you'll need an
"Anyone but Bates" O'meter.
and a
"Warnock left us in a right mess" O'meter
(These O'meters are a tribute to our Irish fans
It'll need to be a huge document.

Not written for the benefit of the likes of you, matey. But I'll take your comment as the compliment it was not intended to be

Right. All the above points have been noted and entered on my 16GB spreadsheet (In colour of course)
I have decided that spelling will be taken into account in all negative posts. Anyone found to be positive at this stage of the season will be banned from all future PSD games.
Any mention of the MAFIA:
" Mafia is a blanket term used to describe a type of organized crime syndicate that primarily practices protection racketeering — the use of violent intimidation to manipulate local economic activity, especially illicit trade" ... will automatically gain as many points that they have decided that I should award.
Reputation of past contributors to the JA 606 forum will be ignored and everyone will have a chance to make a complete fool of themselves. ( even Millwall fans )

He should be sacked just for letting Paddy Kennys figure to become a league target
also letting his weight hit our probable league position

I am ashamed not to have thought of that
a few genuine threads have appeared recently, making my joke thread somewhat superfluous
