Is he or isn't he?

Maybe not being top of the league has turned you into a frustrated so and so Canigga, or it could be the disappointment over some of the transfer dealings, not sure.

In all seriousness, I think Forest have already bent the rules on FFP which is why you will have spent £7m this season (including your new signing) when ourselves and other clubs have spent next to nothing. If both Forest and Leicester are able to get round a ruling which punishes championship clubs while relegated sides continue to get parachute payments (a reward for failure?) then fair play to both our clubs

Forest haven't bent the rules by overspending, they've broken them! When I say bending the rules I mean doing things like turning debt into equity or going the Man City route and spending over the odds on your academy so the cost can go against transfer and wage costs. I might sound frustrated, but I'm quite satisfied with where Forest are in the league. I think we would be higher without the injuries to our first choice back four but it's not too bad. Others keep saying it, and I think I agree that Leicester are a season (or two) ahead of Forest in terms of having a settled squad. You haven't needed to spend big this season and you've got a great balance. I wouldn't say you have a great squad at all, although you do have some very good players in Schmeichel and Morgan. Credit has to go to the manager.

Also when you say Leicester have spent virtually nothing, you do realise that's rubbish don't you? Or are you not including wages?

I was talking about this season and I was talking about signings. So Forest have spent £7m and fair play to you, you needed to add quality. We signed Bakayogo on a free from Tranmere on league 1 wages and we signed Kevin Phillips (poultry performance based wages) and Riyad Mihraz, an unknown Franch young footballer coming to the end of his contract.

So in comparison to you guys, this season we have spent next to nothing on both transfer fees and wages on new signings

Add to that the highly paid players are mostly gone, Beckford, Danns, Mills and Konch has taken a wage cut. I would bet that even with Kasper, Morgan and Nugent (our three highest earners), our wages are not much higher than yours.

Maybe not but I expect that is out of necessity. Like I say, credit to the manager that he has got you so close to promotion with a very similar squad to last year, minus the overpaid deadwood you had. Forest still have a number of those in Miller, Derbyshire, Greening etc but hopefully next season we can be as consistent as Leicester.

So can we agree I wasn't talking rubbish when I said we have spent next to nothing this season or am I now pushing it?

Well only because you confirmed you weren't including wages

So does that mean he only gets paid if he runs round like a chicken with its head cut off?
