If we are lucky enough to be succesful this year then that loss can be reduced even further.
Losses down revenue up, that's the truth of it and I have faith in our chairmen and the structured plan he and the club are implementing.

There is a lot not even factored yet that will only kick in this season, great stuff.

Absolutely. Great stuff indeed.
What people (that is, opposition fans) seem to be ignoring, is City's attempts to function well within the FFP guidelines. As such, the FFP isn't City's enemy - it's rather City's motivation. And I for one think we should be applauded for that - after all, FFP is what the majority want (if judging from comments on here for example).
The losses that City posted in previous years were accelerated losses - a "spend before the FFP kicks in approach". And as is the case with any investment, it will invariably result in losses in the first few years. I've heard people say in response to that point - "yeah, but £197m losses". To which the reply is simple - when it's taken into context, that is, the earning potential of football clubs in this day and age, it's a loss that is in keeping with that. We are, after all, talking about huge amounts - hundreds of millions, both in terms of losses, and indeed in terms of revenue gained.
And of course we have the new tv deal that has come in for this season. That alone will see City's revenue in the next annual report exceed £300m.
We're now well and truly in the big boys league. And yes, it's thanks to the investment. And yes, it's a testament to how investment works. It's worked in the past, it's working for City today. The club has gone about this the right way - invest in order to match ambition to be among the very best. And that's exactly where we now find ourselves.

Despite much ignorance from others - mainly bitter United fans - City are going about their business superbly. They can dominate world football for many years to come, all within the framework of financial fair play and with an academy that will usurp Barcelona's given time.

I find arsenal fans to be the most bitter, by far.

I couldn't give a shi ite....we are ZERO in debt....50% reduction in losses, 20% increase in profits....and that was all for last year......
Oh, how they'd love us to have posted something different...but we didn't - the 'riposte's' are becoming less and less justified.

It seems our owners know more about things than the armchair accountants on ja 606.
