If you want a perfect case study in how to spend money on a football team, then Man City is surely it.
This team and squad is beginning to work itself out (about time some might say) and it's becoming a tour de force.
I've been wondering which of our players could displace any of theirs. At best they'd have Verts to play alongside Kompany, and Andros for the bench.
At 8/11 for the title, I'm going to almost double my savings in 3 months. Nice.
Man City - Now THAT is how to spend!

The bottom line is yes City are going to buy the title, no team in the league can stockpile players and pay the obscene wages they do, but their worse defender Di Michaelis is better than any defender Spurs have.

Vertonghen is the obvious one. LLoris is a good keeper - some good saves last night, but we don't really need a new first choice keeper. I also like Sandro.
I think the comments about spending here are a bit sour grapes. In the summer you spent £100m, we spent £100m. If you'd spent as well as we did you be top 4 no probs.

FFS I am sick of people saying this. Open your eyes, we made a profit in the Summer. We sold as much as we bought you thick mug.

I take it that is a joke Sandy. Dimechelis is woeful. Should not be in that Manchester City team.

Demechelis is a £2m stop gap buy. Lescott and Kolo Toure are/were in the final year of their contracts so I expect that will be our next, possibly our only purchase in the Summer.

Where did I say that's admirable you n0b? Just pointing out we sold more than we bought.
