I hope I'm wrong but I can't see us signing anyone before this window closes. Last summers last minute final day buys smacked, in my opinion, of 'panic' and in all honesty, none have covered themselves in consistant glory.

LUGANO
I think that was one of the worst displays I have ever seen by an international professional central defender. Gave away two goals and missed scoring a sitter my old Mum would have scored. Is he being selected by Pepe because they both 'hablar Español' ?

FULL BACKS
We have known for a long time that Ridgewell is cràp and lacks any pace. Reid gave Delph far too much room for his goal illustrating at nearly 33, Reid has lost his pace and mobility. Why Billy wasn't played is beyond me.

KEITH DOWNING & DEAN KIELY
Is it really wise to appoint a new head-coach and then refuse him permission to bring in his own people but rely on the 'old guard' and their failed tactics? Kiely for goodness sake is a goalkeeping coach so why is he involved.

TACTICS
Playing a higher line may be attractive but with us lacking the pace needed to cover long balls and breakaways leaves us conceding as we did last night. Until we have the playing staff needed we have to tighten up and play more defensively.

RELEGATION PROSPECT
We are deep in the mire and face the prospect of a long hard fight. Other than Fulham & Cardiff, we have the worst current form along with Sjoke and the third relegation place beckons.
